This consists of the extension of the main wastewater treatment plant in the city of Córdoba, which uses an extended aeration system with activated sludge. The project consists of four new lines in order to increase the flow of wastewater for treatment by 49,000 m3/day, and catering for a population of 130,000.
The key elements of the project include the construction of two new main decanters, four new aeration lagoons, two new secondary decanters, the replacement of the four existing centrifuges for ones with a greater capacity, and a new layout for the sludge lines, fitting new sludge and polyelectrolyte pumps.
